Cuban comfort food and amazing Sangria

This is Gloria Estefan’s restaurant which we visited as part of the Miami Culinary Tour. We were told it had recently gone under a major renovation and it was simply stunning inside and out.
We sampled the Plantain Chips with Cuban Mojo and was an absolutely amazing ground beef dish with spices and olives served with chips and garlic butter. The spices were so awesome and I ended up drizzling some of the garlic butter into the mix. Scooping it up with the chips made for an awesome meal.
They also served an amazing Sangria that included some tropical fruit juices that gave it a unique flavor. What a wonderful way to spend some time on Ocean Avenue. This is a beautiful spot for both a casual or fine dining meal.
It’s about a 15 minute walk from Villa Italia Hotel.
